Junior Division

Give your child the perfect start on their dance journey! Our Junior division classes offer young children a fun-filled welcome to the foundations of Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop, with a gentle introduction to performing for family and friends in our Junior Division Holiday and Spring recitals.

With three levels of Pre-Ballet for children in PreK–3 through Kindergarten, as well as Tap Intro and Hip Hop Intro for PreK–4 through Kindergarten, there are plenty of options to choose from. See our class offerings below, or register now if you are ready to begin your young child’s dance education.

Develop confidence through performance.

In December and June, our Junior Division dancers take part in a joyful recital day to celebrate their achievements throughout the school year. Hosted in an intimate setting at our Upper East Side studio, in a performance space festively decorated for the occasion, our Junior Recitals are the perfect way to gently introduce young children to the excitement of performing and prepare them to join our Senior Division dancers in a professional theater once they enter first grade.

Class Schedule

Required Uniforms

AYDT students are required to wear class-specific uniforms to promote unity, discipline, and ease of movement. Uniform details, including colors and styles by dance format and level, are provided upon enrollment and are available for purchase at our studio. All pieces are selected for quality, comfort, and long-term durability.
