Step up your training with AYDT’s Competition Team! Open to dancers in grades 2 and up, audition required, this year-long program is designed for those with an advanced skill set who are ready to grow as powerful, versatile artists in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
With focused instruction in jazz, hip hop, and contemporary (senior team only), dancers refine their skills, build strength, and develop stage presence through challenging choreography and style-specific training. Explosive energy, strong technique, and flexibility are essential for success on this team. Junior and Senior teams compete at three regional competitions in the spring and participate in additional performance opportunities throughout the year.
Whether in rehearsal or on stage, dancers grow into confident, committed performers who lead with passion and professionalism

Open to students in grades 3-7. Hip hop and Jazz focused; Required to be enrolled in at least one weekly AYDT class – ballet or jazz is highly recommended as an additional class. |

Open to students in grades 8-12. Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary focused; Required to be enrolled in two weekly AYDT classes. One class must be ballet. |
