Sirena He was born in Shanghai, China, where she started her study of ballet. She moved to New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 7 where she continued her ballet training at Lelia Haller Ballet Classique. She studied classical ballet for more than a decade before relocating to Brooklyn, New York in 2012 to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Media Studies at Pratt Institute, where she also took part of the school's Saturday Art Classes program and taught creative writing to middle school students in the Brooklyn area.
After graduating, Sirena pursued her ambitions of educating children by teaching English to students at College Condorcet in Paris, France. In 2017 Sirena moved back to New York to continue her interests in dance and performance art, as well as creative writing. Now she can be found attending acting classes at HB Studios while performing in short monologues and theater productions around the city. She's also published short stories in literary magazines such as Ubiquitous, and completing her first novel. On the weekends she also volunteers as a teaching assistant for a non-profit ballet class for children with developmental disorders. She is delighted to bring her passion for children's education and dance together in her career at AYDT.
